Guests are invited to adjourn for Readings by the Guest Poets of the 2003 Poetry Festival. Featuring an Open Mike session (5 minute limit) for poets in the audience to share their work.

Readings at the Arts Alive Space by Guest Poets of the Tasmanian Poetry Festival.
3 pm Hot Cross Poets: GOLD COIN DONATION
Fullers Bookshop, St John Street, Launceston: It’s back! The perennial Festival favourite: duelling poets link their work in clever and ingenious ways. Come along to see what it’s all about!

Walleah Press founder and publisher Ralph Wessman launches Melbourne poet Michael Crane’s new book of verse
It’s on! The seminal event of the Festival, now in its 20th year, the Launceston Poetry Cup throws open the challenge to any willing poet: if you can generate the loudest audience response in under a minute with your poem, the silverware is yours. Open to everyone and anyone! It’s loud, it’s contagious, it’s the most fun you’ll ever have in verse.

Guest Poets will read from their work with the work of artists and designers from Tasmania and around Australia as their backdrop.
Featuring music by The Chordwainers and a reading by Festival special Guest Liz Ryan.
Featuring the draw of the famous Poetry Festival Raffle.
