Voiceworks #60 In Transit

Express Media, publisher of Voiceworks magazine, launches the magazine’s special 60th issue: In Transit.

Sixteen years in the making, In Transit showcases the best new work by Australian writers and artists under 25.

“Voiceworks magazine has consistently supported Australia’s media, literary and artistic communities by providing young people with skills development and publication opportunities,” says Richard Watts, Artistic Director of Express Media.

“We keep moving from strength to strength, and In Transit really reflects this.”

Voiceworks has its ear glued to the (under)ground, nurturing talented young voices from across the country and placing them alongside more established literary figures.

“I’m so excited that Will Self is the guest writer for this issue,” enthuses Voiceworks editor Tom Doig. “He’s one of the best fiction writers in the world, I reckon. It’s a real coup.”

As well as Self’s story, which has never been published in Australia, Dorothy Porter has given Voiceworks an exclusive interview, and an extract from her most recent collection of poems.
