Stephen Edgar is currently the recipient of a prestigious two-year grant for poetry from the Australia Council, Literature Board. Stephen was born in 1951 in New South Wales; he has lived in Hobart for many years and was Island Magazine's poetry editor for a considerable time. His poetry collections are:

Robyn Mathison was born in Narrandera, NSW in 1938 and since early 1975, she has lived in Hobart where she has 'shared her tumbledown house with her children and sundry cats, dogs, sheep and hens' and 'writes short stories, poems and occasional reviews'. Robyn is well published and a ceaseless worker for the good of the writing community and is in her 15th year as Secretary for the FAW-Tasmania.
