Slam Poetry Champion Sage Francis

Respected provocateur of the independent Hip Hop scene, Sage Francis has been wooing audiences with rhymes and language misdemeanours since 1996.
He has won two major US emcee battles, the 2000 Scribble Jam and 1999 Superbowl Battle, and was a big component of Slam Poetry well before Def Poetry Jam popularised the form. Francis first toured Australia two years ago at the 2002 Newcastle Sound Summit. He returns to our shores to play shows in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and the annual Meredith Music Festival in Victoria. He will play an exclusive spoken word set at Melbourne's Manchester Lane.
