Today at the Republic: Sunday 22 September 3-5pm
Kitty Madeson and Andrew Peek, who teaches creative writing at the University of Tasmania (Launceston campus) and has published a poetry collection about Africa.
There's a wonderful page all about Kitty Madeson at http://www.nyc10044.com/wire/2011/madeson.html and courtesy of that page, here's a snippet of Kitty's poetry:
Poems are strange creatures
they have such awkward features
they rhyme in metres
as in space
rather than in time.
Poems are like hoboes
who come to the back door
to ask for a piece of bread
but sit down to Sunday dinner instead.
